Landscaper

Job Background:

D&D Mulch and Landscape is a locally owned company specializing in mulch, loam, stone, firewood, and both commercial and residential landscaping services. As our operations continue to grow, we are looking to add a reliable and hardworking team member to our maintenance crew.

This is a seasonal, full-time position working directly with the Landscape Foreman to complete daily mowing and property maintenance tasks. We operate across multiple locations throughout Massachusetts, so the ability to travel with the crew is important.

Our season typically runs from April through late November. Team members are hired when locations open for the season and finish when locations close, with unemployment benefits available during the off‑season.

Job Responsibilities:

A landscaper is expected to:

• Communicate with customers and coworkers in a professional and respectful manner
• Perform landscape labor tasks such as mulching, planting, spreading loam, edging beds, and weeding
• Assist with shrub and small tree trimming as needed
• Plant flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes according to project requirements
• Rake, clean up work areas, and maintain overall landscape appearance
• Keep trucks, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in proper working order
• Follow instructions and accept constructive feedback from supervisors
• Learn and recognize D&D Mulch and Landscape products
• Maintain exceptional attendance, reliability, and strong work habits
• Optional but helpful: Experience with mowing or basic groundskeeping (not required)

Enhanced Responsibilities:

Because landscape projects often happen without customers present, it’s important that Landscape Laborers have strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to work effectively with clients, coworkers, and management when needed.

Landscape Laborers should be able to work safely and efficiently with common landscape tools and equipment, including:

• Wheelbarrows, shovels, and rakes
• Hand tools for edging, planting, and bed preparation
• String trimmers, backpack blowers, or small equipment (experience helpful but not required)

You should also have a basic understanding of mulching, planting, bed preparation, spreading loam, and overall landscape installation. Attention to detail and pride in creating clean, attractive outdoor spaces is a strong plus.

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent
• Current Class D driver's license in good standing
• 1 year of previous landscaping experience
• Eligible to work in the United States

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
