Duties
- Lead and supervise landscaping crews to execute projects efficiently, safely, and to client specifications
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, pruning, and lawn care
- Oversee irrigation system installation and repairs to ensure optimal watering efficiency
- Conduct tree care activities including planting, pruning, and health assessments
- Assist with construction projects like retaining walls, patios, or garden beds while maintaining safety protocols
- Manage routine landscape maintenance schedules and coordinate project timelines
- Provide guidance on gardening best practices and horticultural techniques to team members
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and machinery are properly maintained and operated safely
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to and from shop in E. Sandwich
- Proven experience in landscaping , lawn care, or horticulture with a strong understanding of landscape maintenance techniques is a big plus
- Supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction setting is also an open position
- Knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care, gardening practices, and general landscape construction
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and small machinery safely
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating tasks and ensuring safety compliance
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions
