Language Specialist Annotator

Responsibilities:

• Annotate and review text, speech, or conversational datasets.
• label and text data for parts of speech, sentiment, intent, and syntax project guidelines.
• Ensure cultural and contextual appropriateness of annotated data.
• Develop and refine annotation guidelines.
• Conduct quality assurance and inter-annotator agreement checks.
• Provide feedback to improve workflows and annotation standards.
• Support multilingual or domain-specific annotation projects (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Languages, or related field
• Native or near-native proficiency in the target language(s)
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and language structure.
• Experience in linguistic annotation or data labeling projects.
• Familiarity with NLP concepts and AI workflows.
• Experience with annotation tools (e.g., Label Studio, Prodigy, ELAN).
• Knowledge of corpus linguistics or discourse analysis.
• Multilingual capabilities.

Remuneration: NGN 500,000.
