laptop repairing technician

We are seeking a skilled Laptop & Desktop Repair Technician to join our IT support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laptops, desktops, and related hardware/software issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair hardware issues in laptops, desktops, and peripherals (RAM, HDD/SSD, motherboards, displays, power supply, etc.).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
• Handle software-related issues including drivers, updates, antivirus, and application errors.
• Perform system upgrades (hardware & software) as per user requirements.
• Maintain and repair networking equipment when required (LAN, Wi-Fi setup, routers).
• Provide technical support to staff for IT-related issues.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment, spare parts, and tools.
• Ensure data backup and recovery procedures during repairs.
• Keep accurate service logs, repair records, and warranty claims.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Certification in Computer Hardware, IT, or related field.
• 5–10 years of proven experience in laptop & desktop hardware repair.
• Strong knowledge of troubleshooting hardware failures, replacing components, and system optimization.
• Familiarity with BIOS setup, formatting, partitioning, and cloning systems.
• Knowledge of networking basics (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks under pressure.

Preferred IT Skills:

• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair utilities.
• Familiarity with remote desktop support tools.
• Ability to handle virus/malware removal and system security.
