About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Laravel Developer with at least 1 year of hands-on experience to support, maintain, and enhance our custom-built Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This role spans backend and frontend development, working with Laravel, MySQL, jQuery, and Bootstrap to ensure reliability, performance, and continued feature growth across healthcare operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Laravel backend (controllers, models, middleware, form requests).
• Develop and improve features across modules including HR, Inventory, Finance, Medical Records, and Reporting.
• Write clean Eloquent queries and optimize complex SQL for performance and reporting.
• Manage database migrations, seeders, and backups; ensure data integrity.
• Work with frontend technologies such as jQuery, Bootstrap, modals, Data Tables, and custom JavaScript.
• Implement functionalities like PDF generation (dompdf), file uploads, and server-side DataTables (Yajra).
• Debug and fix production issues using Laravel Debugbar and logging.
• Follow secure coding practices including authentication, role-based access, validation, CSRF protection, and encryption.

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree and/or developer diploma.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in:
• Laravel (v9/10) and PHP 8.x (MVC, Service Providers, Eloquent ORM, Queues/Events basics)
• MySQL 5.7/8.0 (Schema design, Joins, Indexes, Query optimization, Views/Functions)
• Frontend: jQuery, Bootstrap 4/5, DataTables, AJAX (Axios/fetch), SweetAlert2
• RESTful APIs: Development and integration with AJAX-driven UIs
• Version Control: Git, Composer, npm, and Vite
• Ability to understand and extend existing codebases and large JavaScript files
• Strong debugging skills across PHP, JavaScript, and SQL
