Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our applications and IT infrastructure. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service, and a solid understanding of various operating systems and networking concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for software applications, troubleshooting issues related to functionality and performance.
  • Manage computer hardware and software installations, ensuring optimal performance across all devices.
  • Assist users with desktop support, including Windows and macOS environments.
  • Implement and manage VPN connections and firewall configurations to maintain secure access to applications.
  • Utilize help desk tools such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or Jira to track and resolve user issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain network infrastructure (LAN) and ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Conduct software testing and validation to identify bugs or issues before deployment.
  • Document processes, procedures, and solutions for future reference to enhance team knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely resolutions.

Experience

  • Proven experience in technical support roles with a focus on application support.
  • Strong knowledge of computer management, including hardware troubleshooting and operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure concepts, including computer networking principles (LAN) and security protocols (VPN, firewall).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented mindset.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
