Laser machine operator

A regional technology firm is currently looking for an energetic Laser Machine Operator for our day shift!

Key Duties:

• Utilize laser cutting equipment to shape and produce metal components in alignment with project requirements
• Configure and calibrate machine parameters, including focal length, power output, and operational speed
• Oversee the production process and perform real-time modifications to maximize output and maintain high standards
• Verify the quality of completed components by utilizing precision tools like calipers and micrometers to ensure they meet exact tolerances
• Analyze engineering schematics, technical drawings, and production orders to establish precise manufacturing requirements
• Employ manual tools and various fixtures to complete the assembly and finishing of fabricated items

Required Proficiencies:

• Prior experience with laser technology
• Proficiency in operating industrial machinery
• Expertise in laser cutting, welding, and marking techniques
• Strong manual dexterity for handling small parts is highly valued

Compensation and Schedule:

• Day shift hours are 8am to 5pm, with this being a short-term assignment lasting several weeks
• Starting compensation is set at $18 per hour
