The Opportunity: Dispatch & Driver Coordinator

We are looking for a highly alert, decisive, and communicative Dispatch & Driver Coordinator to manage the final, most critical stage of our delivery process.

You will be responsible for accurately dispatching optimized routes, managing real-time driver performance, and serving as the primary communication hub between the warehouse operations, our Delivery Service Providers (DSPs), and the QA/Operation teams. This role demands presence, precision, and the ability to manage high-pressure, dynamic situations on the floor.

Key Responsibilities & Operational Control

Your focus is on ensuring every route is optimized, correctly assigned, and executed efficiently.

1. Route Optimization & Assignment

• Route Finalization: Based on finalized order manifests from the warehouse, clearly and accurately dispatch optimized routes to individual drivers and Delivery Service Partners (DSPs).
• System Execution: Utilize route assignment software and our POS(Parcel Operating System) to efficiently allocate packages, ensuring load balancing and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Real-Time Adjustments: Manage dynamic dispatching, rerouting drivers mid-shift to accommodate last-minute orders, capacity changes, or service exceptions.

2. Driver Management & Performance Monitoring

• Driver Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for all assigned drivers and Fleet Team Leaders. Maintain constant, clear communication regarding route clarity, delivery protocols, and emergency support.
• Performance Monitoring: Actively monitor driver performance in the field using tracking software, intervening immediately to address delivery deviations, late starts, or performance lags.
• Feedback Loop: Collaborate closely with QA/QC and Operations teams to relay driver performance data, identifying training needs or systemic issues that affect route execution.

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Floor Presence

• Operational Sync: Work side-by-side with the Operations Team to ensure a smooth, seamless handover of sorted and verified parcels to the dispatch area.
• Exception Handling Support: Collaborate with the QA/QC Team on urgent exception handling, quickly confirming driver status or providing necessary route updates based on physical parcel location.
• Floor Engagement: Maintain a strong presence on the dispatch floor, often requiring standing or moving for extended periods to ensure effective oversight and rapid response.

Essential Requirements & Preferences

Core Requirements

• Logistics Foundation: Solid understanding of warehouse processes and the physical flow of goods into the last mile.
• Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic data organization, viewing reports) and demonstrated ability to quickly learn and navigate complex operational ERP/POS systems.
• Communication & Decisiveness: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to make quick, sound decisions under pressure when communicating with drivers and team leaders.
• Physical Stamina: Ability and willingness to stand and move around the dispatch floor for the majority of the shift.

Preferred Qualifications

• System Expertise: Direct prior experience using specialized route assignment software (e.g., routing platforms like Beans, or similar proprietary logistics software).
• Team Experience: Previous experience working directly with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) or managing a contracted fleet.
• Bilingual Skills: Fluency in a second language(Chinese/Spanish) is a definite advantage for clearer communication across diverse teams.
