Lathe Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Lathe Operator** to set up, operate, and maintain lathe machines to produce precision parts. The role requires knowledge of machining techniques, ability to read technical drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

* Set up and operate manual and/or CNC lathe machines to perform turning, facing, threading, drilling, boring, and other machining operations.

* Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of parts.

* Select, install, and align cutting tools, fixtures, and workpieces.

* Monitor machine operations, adjusting feeds, speeds, and cutting tools to maintain accuracy and quality.

* Inspect finished components using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).

* Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.

* Maintain records of production, quality checks, and machine performance.

* Adhere to workplace safety rules and company policies.

* Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure timely delivery of production targets.

### **Skills & Qualifications**

* ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Machinist trade or equivalent.

* Proven experience as a Lathe Operator (manual or CNC).

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop math.

* Proficiency in using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges).

* Knowledge of cutting tools, machining parameters, and materials.

* Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.

* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

* Physical stamina and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with CNC lathe programming (Fanuc / Siemens controllers).

* Exposure to lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

* Knowledge of other machining operations (milling, drilling, grinding).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,500.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

• Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
