Key Responsibilities
* Supervise daily laundry operations including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and distribution of linens, towels, and uniforms.
* Ensure all laundry equipment is maintained in excellent condition and report any malfunction or repair needs.
* Manage uniform issuance, collection, and inventory to ensure each staff member has access to clean and properly fitted uniforms.
* Inspect uniforms and linens regularly for quality, arranging for repairs or replacements as needed.
* Prepare and maintain schedules to ensure proper staffing and efficient workflow in the laundry department.
* Train, supervise, and motivate laundry attendants and uniform staff to deliver consistent service quality.
* Monitor stock levels of chemicals, detergents, and linen supplies, reordering when required.
* Maintain proper documentation for inventory control, stock movements, and cost monitoring.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, including the safe handling of laundry chemicals.
* Collaborate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure timely delivery of fresh linens and uniforms.
* Plan for peak periods and special events to ensure laundry operations meet hotel demands.
Ideal Profile
* Minimum 2 3 years of supervisory experience in hotel laundry or housekeeping operations.
* Strong understanding of laundry machinery, chemical handling, and uniform management systems.
* Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
* Familiar with inventory control and cost management practices.
* Physically fit and able to perform operational duties as needed.
* Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
