Laundry Attendant

Under the general direction of the Laundry Manager or delegate, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotel Group and hotel’s policies and procedures, responsible for sorting and washing hotel and guest linen in a timely manner, avoiding idling of machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Sorts hotel and guest linen for washing

2. Ensures timely loading and loading of machines

3. Ensures timely addition of chemicals in proper quantity

4. Maintains proper temperature, pressure and water level

5. Ensures machines and areas are kept free of lint

6. Ensures all stains are removed, testing the chemicals before applying on the fabric, else inform the supervisor

7. Attends all staff training meetings as when directed by the superiors

8. Reports health or safety hazards to the Laundry Manager

SELF MANAGEMENT

1. Comply with Hotel Rules and Regulations and provisions contained in the Employment Handbook

2. Comply with Company Grooming Standards at all times to portray a professional image of self and the hotel.

3. Comply with Time and Attendance Policies set by the hotel.

4. Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development

5. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety

6. Familiarize yourself with emergency and evacuation procedures

7. Ensure all security incidents, accidents and near misses are always logged in a timely manner and brought to the attention of the Line Manager

8. Comply with the Company’s Corporate Code of Conduct

9. Familiarize self with the company values

10. Perform all tasks as directed by the Manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR1,500.00 per month
