Duties

• Operate laundry machines and equipment to wash, dry, fold, and iron linens, towels, uniforms, and guest clothing with precision and care
• Sort laundry items by color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements to ensure optimal processing
• Perform dry cleaning tasks for delicate or special fabrics using appropriate solvents and techniques
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing supplies to uphold safety and hygiene standards
• Assist with inventory management by tracking linen supplies and notifying management of stock levels or equipment maintenance needs
• Follow all safety procedures related to chemical handling and machine operation to prevent accidents or damage
• Distribute linen to all linen closets and stock the housekeeping carts as needed
• Support other housekeeping functions as needed to ensure overall cleanliness and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Prior experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
• Knowledge of laundry processes including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and dry cleaning techniques
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control in handling linens and garments
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads safely, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and safety protocols related to laundry operations is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with colleagues
