Sinhala or Tamil POSITION Abu Dhabi UAE Driver - Laundry Department

LOCATION

Luxury Private Estate Abu Dhabi, UAE

The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Driver - Laundry Department plays a key support role within the palace laundry operations, responsible for the safe, accurate, and discreet transportation of garments and textiles between palace residences, laundry facilities, and approved locations. The position also provides on-site assistance to the laundry team, ensuring garments are handled, checked, and processed to the highest standards expected within a royal household.

Qualifications / Licenses / Skills

• Valid driving licence (UAE licence preferred or ability to obtain)
• Clean driving record and strong road safety awareness
• Previous experience as a driver in a private household, palace, hotel, or luxury service environment highly regarded
• Basic understanding of laundry operations and garment handling an advantage
• Ability to read and check garment lists accurately
• Fluent English communication skills
• Fluent in Sinhala or Tamil highly regarded
• Physically fit and able to handle loading, unloading, and folding tasks
• High level of discretion, honesty, and reliability
• Well presented with a professional attitude

Experience

• Previous experience in a driving role involving transport of goods, uniforms, or garments
• Experience working alongside housekeeping or laundry teams preferred
• Familiarity with handling delicate, valuable, or high volume garments an advantage
• Experience working within structured service departments or private estates beneficial

Roles & Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver garments safely between palace residences, laundry facilities, and designated locations
• Pack, load, and unload garments with care to prevent damage or loss
• Assist with folding and light laundry tasks when on site as required
• Mark, check, and verify garment lists to ensure accurate tracking and accountability
• Support laundry staff during peak periods or operational requirements
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and readiness of the assigned vehicle
• Conduct basic vehicle checks and report maintenance needs
• Adhere strictly to confidentiality, security, and service protocols
• Carry out additional duties related to laundry operations as directed by the Laundry Supervisor

WORKING HOURS

6 days per week with 1 day off. Flexibility required based on palace operational needs.

SALARY

AED 2,200 tax free in UAE.
