The Laundry Valet is responsible for providing prompt and professional laundry and dry-cleaning services to guests, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role acts as a key link between the guest and the laundry team, ensuring accurate handling, timely delivery, and personalized service.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service:
- Collect, log, and deliver guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing items accurately and promptly.
- Ensure all guest laundry is handled with care and according to fabric care instructions.
- Present laundry services to guests professionally and assist with any special requests or concerns.
- Ensure clear communication with guests regarding delivery times, service options, and charges.
- Handle guest complaints or service issues courteously and report them to the supervisor if required.
Operational Duties:
- Inspect all laundry items for stains, damages, or missing buttons before processing.
- Tag and record all items received using the appropriate tracking system or logbook.
- Coordinate with the laundry team to ensure timely cleaning and pressing of all items.
- Deliver finished laundry to the respective guest rooms according to established procedures.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the valet and laundry areas.
- Report any lost and found items immediately following hotel policy.
Health, Safety & Hygiene:
- Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures in handling linen and chemicals.
- Ensure safe operation of all laundry equipment.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment at all times.
Other Responsibilities:
- Attend daily briefings and departmental training sessions as scheduled.
- Ensure grooming and personal appearance are in accordance with hotel standards.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the hotel.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping in a hotel environment preferred.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
- Customer-focused with a courteous and professional attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
