Laundry Valet

The Laundry Valet is responsible for providing prompt and professional laundry and dry-cleaning services to guests, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest satisfaction. This role acts as a key link between the guest and the laundry team, ensuring accurate handling, timely delivery, and personalized service.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service:

  • Collect, log, and deliver guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing items accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all guest laundry is handled with care and according to fabric care instructions.
  • Present laundry services to guests professionally and assist with any special requests or concerns.
  • Ensure clear communication with guests regarding delivery times, service options, and charges.
  • Handle guest complaints or service issues courteously and report them to the supervisor if required.

Operational Duties:

  • Inspect all laundry items for stains, damages, or missing buttons before processing.
  • Tag and record all items received using the appropriate tracking system or logbook.
  • Coordinate with the laundry team to ensure timely cleaning and pressing of all items.
  • Deliver finished laundry to the respective guest rooms according to established procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the valet and laundry areas.
  • Report any lost and found items immediately following hotel policy.

Health, Safety & Hygiene:

  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures in handling linen and chemicals.
  • Ensure safe operation of all laundry equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy working environment at all times.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend daily briefings and departmental training sessions as scheduled.
  • Ensure grooming and personal appearance are in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Promote a positive and professional image of the hotel.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Laundry Supervisor or Management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping in a hotel environment preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Customer-focused with a courteous and professional attitude.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques.
