We are seeking a
Fertilizer Technician
to support landscape maintenance operations in the
Walpole, Massachusetts area
. This role focuses on applying fertilizer and turf treatments that promote healthy lawns and landscaped environments for commercial and residential properties.
The ideal candidate has experience with turf care, fertilizer applications, and landscape maintenance practices. This position requires attention to detail, safe handling of materials, and the ability to work outdoors in a physically active environment.
Responsibilities

Apply fertilizer, herbicides, and other turf treatments to lawns and landscaped areas according to established schedules

Operate spreaders, sprayers, and related turf care equipment safely and efficiently

Monitor lawn health and identify potential issues such as weeds, pests, or nutrient deficiencies

Maintain accurate records of treatments, products used, and application areas

Ensure all fertilizer and chemical applications comply with safety regulations and environmental standards

Assist with general landscape maintenance activities when needed

Communicate with supervisors regarding property conditions and treatment results

Maintain equipment and vehicles used for fertilizer application

Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite protocols
Requirements

Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or turf management preferred

Knowledge of fertilizer application techniques and turf health best practices

Ability to safely handle and apply fertilizers and related products

Experience operating landscape equipment such as spreaders and sprayers

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow treatment schedules

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift and move equipment or materials as required
