Important: This position involves turf treatments only — NO mowing or landscaping.

Position Summary

As a Lawn Care Specialist, you will independently manage a daily service route after training. You’ll apply professional fertilization treatments, solve lawn health issues, interact with customers, and represent our company with professionalism.

This role offers variety — from Residential/Commercial Properties to Sports Fields and Golf Course work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pest control treatments
• Diagnose turf issues (weeds, insects, disease, soil/nutrient problems)
• Recommend treatment plans and additional services
• Communicate with customers to explain services and answer questions
• Complete daily service routes efficiently and accurately
• Operate equipment including:
• Backpack sprayers
• Hand spreaders
• Hose reel sprayers
• Ventrac, seeders, aerators
• Perform basic equipment maintenance
• Follow safety protocols and PA state regulations

Initial Training Includes

• Handling and loading 50 lb fertilizer bags
• Hose operation for liquid applications
• Backpack perimeter spraying
• Learning routes, properties, and service expectations
• Professional site cleanup and finishing work

What We’re Looking For

Someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and enjoys working independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of experience in lawn care, turf, or horticulture
• Knowledge of turf health and lawn care products
• PA Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping

Compensation

• Starting Pay: $20.00/hour
• Licensed Rate: $25.00/hour

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors
• PA Applicator License Category 7 (preferred; we will assist in obtaining it)
• Dependable, flexible, and positive attitude
