Duties

• Mow lawns using power tools such as riding mowers, push mowers, and trimmers to ensure a neat and manicured appearance
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching to enhance garden health and aesthetics
• Operate hand tools and machinery like shovels, rakes, blowers, and hedge trimmers for various landscaping projects
• Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal with proper techniques and safety procedures
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or installing sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules
• Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients and staff
• Support construction projects involving hardscape installations like patios or walkways while adhering to safety standards
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment including power tools, excavators, and other landscaping machinery to ensure longevity and safety

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools
• Previous experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care techniques to promote healthy growth
• Ability to handle hand tools safely and efficiently in various outdoor conditions
• Familiarity with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus for larger landscape projects
• Strong understanding of landscaping design principles including hardscape features like patios or retaining walls
• Ability to perform tree trimming, pruning, and tree care activities following safety guidelines
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather conditions while standing, bending, or lifting for extended periods
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance tasks and client satisfaction
