Duties

• Mow lawns using various equipment such as push mowers, riding mowers, and lawn tractors to achieve a clean and even appearance.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including trimming trees and shrubs, pruning, edging, and planting.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, aerating soil, and installing hardscape features such as patios or walkways.
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and performing repairs to ensure optimal watering schedules.
• Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients and team members.
• Assist with construction projects involving landscape installation or hardscape features to enhance outdoor aesthetics.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as excavators, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and other landscaping machinery to ensure reliable operation.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain landscaping equipment and power tools.
• Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with an understanding of horticulture principles.
• Ability to operate hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and health assessment.
• Experience with snow plowing equipment operation during winter seasons.
• Basic understanding of construction techniques related to hardscape features like patios or retaining walls.
