Duties

• Mow lawns using power tools such as push mowers, riding mowers, and string trimmers to achieve precise and attractive grass heights.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming shrubs, pruning trees, and planting flowers or new greenery.
• Operate hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for gardening and planting projects.
• Use machinery such as excavators or skid steers for hardscape installation or site clearing when necessary.
• Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
• Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for pedestrians and vehicles.
• Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and safety.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge for operating lawn care equipment and power tools safely and effectively.
• Prior experience in lawn care, landscaping, or garden maintenance is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including mowing, edging, pruning, and planting.
• Ability to operate hand tools confidently and safely; experience with power tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care practices is advantageous.
• Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment or materials as needed.
