Lawn Crew Member

Summary:

The construction crew member provides the labor for construction and enhancement projects. They are the ones working with and installing the materials.

Essential Functions:

· Live by the TCLA values/morals “Purpose Driven Life”….share it

· Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscaping and small construction projects.

· Using power equipment (back pack blowers, brush cutters, etc.)

· Carrying/moving materials - using wheel barrows at times, or carrying bricks, plants, other landscape type items.

· Raking, mulching, mowing, trimming

· Installing hardscapes

· Trench digging, laying sod, moving/raking mulch.

· Clean up of job sites.

· Loading/unloading tools and materials from truck

· Cleaning/maintaining equipment as needed

· Operating heavy machinery such as sod cutters, bed edgers, aerators, skid steers, loaders, etc…

· Operates power tools such as drills, saws, blowers, weed whackers, etc..

Work Environment:

Work is done outside. The employee will be exposed to extreme weather fluctuations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

This position requires the use of safety equipment such as but not limited to ear protection, gloves, eye protection, etc…

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight or more throughout the assigned workday.

Required Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience. 1 year previous landscaping experience.

Eligibility Qualifications:

Preferred: Chauffeurs license
