Job Purpose:
The Legal Officer / Lawyer
is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the organization, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, drafting and negotiating contracts, and managing legal risks associated with the company’s operations. Provide the required support in the preparation of legal documents agenda, reports, and notes as well as following up on court cases as required in coordination with external law firms. The role also involves coordinating with external law firms and supporting litigation when required.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Legal Advisory & Consultation:

Provide legal guidance on property acquisitions, disposals, leasing agreements, development projects, and joint ventures within the real estate sector.

Advise management on legal implications of business decisions and transactions.
Drafting & Reviewing Contracts:

Prepare, review, and negotiate legal documents including lease agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, joint venture agreements, power of attorney, and other contractual documentation.
Compliance & Regulatory Management:

Ensure organizational compliance with local, (RERA, Ejari) and national property laws, including rental laws, building codes, and other relevant commercial and legal laws.
Legal Due Diligence:

Conduct comprehensive due diligence for property transactions, verifying titles, ownership rights, encumbrances, and resolving legal disputes.
Rental & Lease Law Expertise:

Advise on rights and obligations of tenants and landlords, lease terms, eviction procedures, and rent regulations in accordance with applicable rental laws.
Dispute Resolution & Litigation:

Represent the organization or clients in legal proceedings, arbitration, or negotiations related to property disputes, breaches of contract, or tenant issues.

Prepare case files, legal notes, and follow up on court proceedings when required.
Risk Management:

Identify potential legal risks in property deals and recommend strategies to mitigate liability.

Recommend strategies to mitigate risks and protect company interests.
Legal Documentation & Record-Keeping:

Maintain organized records of legal documents, contracts, case files, and correspondence.

Any other reasonable tasks as required by the management.
Qualifications and Certifications
Bachelor’s /master's degree in law or any other related certification.
Work Experience and Required Skills:

Minimum of 7-15 years of experience in real estate legal advisory, property transactions, leasing, and dispute resolution.

Proficiency in English and Arabic is mandatory.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, Case engine and other relevant systems.
