Lawyer or Legal Expert T3 – AI Content Review & Validation (Remote)

About the Role

NeonLabs is seeking an experienced Legal Expert to participate in a short-term project focused on improving AI-generated legal content.
You’ll review and validate model outputs, assess legal reasoning, and help benchmark system performance.

This is an AI technology testing and development project — an opportunity to apply your legal expertise toward shaping how advanced systems interpret law, argumentation, and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated legal text and assess for accuracy, coherence, and compliance
• Draft or evaluate legal reasoning questions to benchmark performance
• Provide expert feedback on U.S. legal frameworks, case law, and terminology
• Contribute to scenario design that reflects real-world legal practice
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation methods

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school (Top-14 preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in a law firm, clerkship, or in-house legal team
• Exceptional analytical writing and critical reasoning skills
• Strong understanding of U.S. legal systems, litigation, and regulatory language
• Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible environment

Compensation

• Rate: $125–$175 per hour (USD)
• Contract Type: Independent Contractor through Mercor
• Payments: Weekly via Stripe Connect
• Schedule: 10–20 hours per week | Fully remote
