LC-MS/MS Senior Level Biochemist

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced LC-MS/MS Senior Level Biochemist to join our dynamic team. This role involves leading advanced biochemical analyses, developing and optimizing assays, and supporting scientific research initiatives within a regulated laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in mass spectrometry, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques, contributing to innovative projects in biotechnology and pharmaceutical development.

Basic Purpose:

The Biochemist position is a level II position for an individual with prior laboratory experience. The individual will perform routine and limited non-routine functions to aid in the preparation of and testing of samples.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepare samples for analysis using various methods in accordance with ISO, NELAP, FDA, and GLP standard operating procedures.
• Data handling and report preparation.
• Evaluate data
• Design, develop, and validate LC-MS/MS methods for quantifying biomolecules with high sensitivity and specificity.
• Perform various tests for pharmaceutical grade products such as Microbiological Examination of Non Sterile Products, Antimicrobial Effectiveness, Stability, Sterility Test, Environmental Monitoring, etc.
• Maintain compliance with GLP and CGMP regulations ensuring all experiments adhere to standards.
• Operate high-performance liquid chromatography systems coupled with mass spectrometers for complex sample analysis.
• Prepare detailed reports of results, troubleshoot assay issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on research projects.
• Stay current with scientific literature and technological advancements in biochemistry, biotechnology, and laboratory practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Extensive laboratory experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines within a regulated environment.
• Proven expertise in LC-MS/MS techniques along with high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
• Familiarity with GLP/GMP/CGMP standards, ISO 17025 and FDA regulations governing laboratory practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
