We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused LCL Customer Service Executive to manage daily client interactions and ensure seamless handling of Less-than-Container Load (LCL) shipments. The role involves coordinating bookings, documentation, and shipment updates while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting the sales team with retention and growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle daily customer inquiries, providing accurate information on LCL schedules, rates, and shipment status.
- Coordinate bookings with clients, overseas agents, and carriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage end-to-end documentation including BL instructions, shipping advice, and pre-alerts.
- Monitor shipments proactively, ensuring timely movement and updating customers on progress.
- Resolve service issues, claims, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and finance teams to meet customer requirements effectively.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance trust and secure repeat business.
- Prepare regular customer service reports and highlight critical cases to management.
- Support the sales team with customer retention initiatives and identify upselling opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in customer service within the freight forwarding, NVOCC, or logistics industry (LCL experience strongly preferred).
- Strong understanding of LCL consolidation and international shipping documentation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer-handling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and experience with logistics/CRM systems.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
