Job Description | Training Center | Doha, Qatar
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Learning & Development (L&D) Specialist to join our internationally recognized training center in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and delivering a diverse portfolio of professional certification programs across healthcare, hospitality, business, safety, and education sectors. Key Responsibilities
Program Delivery & Coordination
- Plan and oversee the end-to-end delivery of international certification programs in line with awarding body standards and timelines.
- Schedule training sessions, workshops, and assessments across multiple concurrent programs.
- Coordinate with trainers, assessors, and external facilitators to ensure smooth program execution.
- Manage learner enrollment, induction, and onboarding processes.
Curriculum & Content Development
- Develop and regularly update training materials, lesson plans, and learner handbooks to meet awarding body specifications.
- Design blended learning solutions combining face-to-face, practical, and digital delivery methods.
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and compliance across all subject areas.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Maintain the center’s approved center status with all relevant international awarding bodies.
- Manage Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes including assessment sampling, standardization meetings, and record-keeping.
- Coordinate External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits and implement corrective actions as required.
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and international awarding body frameworks.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date learner records, registrations, and certification documentation.
Learner Support & Engagement
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners throughout their qualification journey.
- Identify at-risk learners early and implement appropriate support or intervention strategies.
- Facilitate learner progress reviews, feedback sessions, and orientation programs.
- Handle learner queries, complaints, and appeals professionally and within agreed timelines.
Trainer Development
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and CPD of training staff and associate trainers.
- Conduct training observations and provide structured feedback to maintain delivery quality.
- Organize standardization events and cross-moderation sessions for assessors and internal verifiers.
Business Development Support
- Assist in promoting training programs to corporate clients, healthcare institutions, and individual learners.
- Contribute to the development of training proposals, course brochures, and marketing content.
- Support partnership development with organizations for group training and contract delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Training & Development, Human Resources, Healthcare, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
- A recognized assessor qualification (e.g., TAQA or equivalent) is required; an internal verifier or IQA qualification is a strong advantage.
- A CIPD qualification or equivalent L&D certification is desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a learning & development, training coordination, or academic role within an international training center or corporate L&D environment.
- Proven experience managing programs under internationally recognized awarding bodies.
- Experience in healthcare-related training programs is a significant advantage.
- Prior experience working in the GCC or Middle East region is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of international qualification frameworks and accreditation processes.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and instructional design skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Culturally aware with experience in diverse, multicultural environments.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
