Lead Accountant

Job Title: Accountant

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Main Company Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's accounting records, managing banking transactions, overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and coordinating with external auditors and CPA firm when required.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting

  • Maintain and update the company's general ledger and accounting records.
  • Record, verify, and reconcile financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.

Banking & Cash Management

  • Manage all company bank accounts and banking transactions.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain sufficient liquidity for operations.
  • Prepare and process wire transfers, checks, and electronic payments.
  • Coordinate with banks regarding account maintenance, facilities, and banking requirements.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and payments.
  • Monitor customer receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
  • Ensure timely payment of company obligations.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Generate management reports and financial analyses as requested.
  • Support management with financial data for decision-making purposes.

Operational Accounting

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate transaction processing.
  • Monitor expenses and verify supporting documentation.
  • Assist with inventory and fixed asset accounting when applicable.
  • Ensure proper internal controls are maintained.

External CPA & Audit Coordination

  • Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, and tax consultants.
  • Provide required financial information and supporting schedules.
  • Assist in annual audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure all accounting records are audit-ready and compliant.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • Support the preparation of VAT, sales tax, withholding tax, and other statutory filings as applicable.
  • Assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience handling bank reconciliations and daily accounting operations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
  • Experience coordinating with external auditors and CPA firms.
  • Professional accounting certification is a plus.

Pay: E£18,000.00 - E£25,000.00 per month
