The Lead Analyst, Contract Management Offer Development/Operations will demonstrate contract development expertise, providing subject matter expertise in execution of the overall contract management strategy, working closely with the Manager Commercial Operations, Manager Field Inventory, Pricing, & Compliance, Director National Hospital Accounts, and commercial leaders in the development and implementation of strategy, policies, procedures, and processes.

The Lead Analyst is responsible for offer development, contract provisions, terms & conditions review, implementation, and management for U.S. customer-facing teams, providing effective and efficient contract review and negotiation for commercial contracts, coordination of terms and conditions changes, identifying potential gaps, ensuring contracts are aligned to strategy, customer negotiations, sharing best practices and recommending solutions to improve customer experience. These contracts include, but are not limited to, sales, consignment pricing, third-party agreements for IDN’s, Hospitals, and ISA Agreements. This position will support the review, preparation, and execution of RFI’s and RFP’s, including data analysis. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the management of various contract templates to support the business and CPC approved Contract Strategies and will be responsible for supporting terms and conditions redlines for commercial contracts for the assigned business unit. The Lead Analyst will handle assigned redlines including customer negotiation in close partnership with the Key Account Director, Regional Sales Directors and the field sales Division Manager’s. Partnering closely with the broader MedTech contracting community, HCC and internal business partners, the incumbent will identify best practices, deliver process improvements and support strategic initiatives in an effort to improve turnaround time processes and workflows. The incumbent will also manage pricing requests, support pricing initiatives, promotions and programs and data management including system data integrity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Review contract requests and collaborates with sales and marketing to develop offers that meet customer needs and align with commercial strategies such as Growth, Performance and NBI Rebates.
  • Manages internal offer review and approval processes
  • Prepares contracts, amendments, and notices in accordance with contracting guidelines and approved templates for IDN’s, Hospitals and ISA Agreements
  • Prepares, reviews and executes RFI’s and RFP’s cross references for IDN’s, Hospitals, GPO’s and ISA Agreements including proposals and T&C’s
  • Reviews and redlines terms and conditions in partnership with legal and other internal partners
  • Administers contracts through their lifecycle (including, but not limited to, system setup, price loading, rebate delivery and performance analysis records retention, roster management for IDN’s, letters of commitment, renewal)
  • Completes review and analysis of promotions, sales, and contract data including financial requirements and strategic impact.
  • Manages tier pricing strategy including analysis, price integrity, implementation, and customer communication
  • Meets as needed with Regional Sales Directors sales management, legal department, and others as needed to discuss agreement requirements, terms and conditions review.
  • Reviews requests for pricing exceptions with management, legal, finance, marketing
  • Monitors customer contract compliance as required in contract terms and conditions and make recommendations to the contract management if contract modifications are required.
  • Provides reports and information to sales management as requested, can include department metrics, execution rates, promotion utilization, and purchase history.
  • Ensure compliance to Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), Government (GCC) and other requirements relating to pricing and contract compliance.
  • Work with Key Account Director, Commercial Operations to facilitate internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes (escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties, e.g., Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Corporate Risk Management, Health Care Compliance, Privacy, CPLG)
  • When assigned, facilitate effective communication and collaboration with internal clients, consistent with company mission and values, to ensure that actions taken reflect terms of contracts and agreements. Provide regular guidance and training to business stakeholders, to ensure they understand contractual requirements as well as general legal and compliance environment
  • Ensuring conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance with Johnson & Johnson policies and procedures
  • Maintain assigned SOPs and Work instructions

Pricing:

  • Loads pricing into the JD Edwards pricing system and Salesforce based on approved pricing. Checks that prices are appropriately approved; and accurately entered into the system reviews pricing discrepancies for Hospitals
  • Meets as needed with field sales associates, contract management as needed to discuss agreement requirements.
  • Maintains customer, J & J Affiliate and List Prices in the appropriate pricing systems.
  • Reviews and administers GPO rosters, eLOC, LOP to align customers to appropriate price group/tier based on contract terms
  • Provides pricing reports and information to field sales associates as requested, can include contract pricing information and contract expiration reports.
  • Provides training as needed with respect to contracts, pricing, compliance, and administrative processes.
  • Support audits and compliance testing by providing information and supporting document
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Contracting or related field required
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive work experience required with a minimum of 4 years in a commercial contracting & redlining preferred.
  • Experience in medical device or healthcare field is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales / customer focused environment
  • Leadership, collaboration, communication, and analytical skills are required. Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines is required.
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required (advanced Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Proven strong analytic skills (advanced Excel)

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$94,000.00 - $151,800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
