Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculam that promote literacy, math, social skills, and physical development in accordance with educational standards
- Lead engaging classroom activities that foster curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning among preschool and toddler-aged children
- Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment that encourages respectful behavior and active participation
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, assess student progress through standardized testing or informal assessments, and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Assist in daily routines such as meal times, nap schedules, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play to ensure a safe and nurturing childcare setting
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior management strategies, and developmental milestones
- Uphold child welfare standards by ensuring safety protocols are followed consistently and maintaining a clean, organized classroom environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings such as daycare, preschool programs, or private schools
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques
- Familiarity with curriculum development for early learners including literacy education, math instruction, physical education, and Montessori methods is preferred
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that support positive social interactions and emotional growth
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families
- Experience with lesson planning, tutoring, standardized testing preparation, and working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is advantageous
- Certification or training in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is encouraged

Pay: $12.75 - $14.50 per hour
