Lead Assembly Technician/Supervisor

Treske Precision Machining, Inc. is a Space & Defense, Electronics and Commercial precision machine
shop. We have an immediate full time position for a Lead Assembly Technician/Supervisor. We are a
constantly growing company looking for a capable, flexible, and dependable candidate to fill this position
on our day shift.

Assembly work at Treske typically consists of working on high value, high precision machined parts.

Assembly tasks typically include:
  • Installing various types of inserts
  • Helicoils
  • Key Inserts
  • Dowel pins
  • P.E.M. inserts and studs
  • Bushings
  • Laser and ink part marking
  • Sealant and gasketing applications
  • Sub-Assembly bench work (combining multiple components with fasteners)
  • Occasional riveting
Job Summary

The Assembly Department Lead is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Assembly
Department, ensuring quality standards, managing a team, and meeting production goals. This role
involves hands-on leadership to optimize processes, maintain safety standards, and work collaboratively
with cross-functional teams to deliver products on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Train, lead, mentor and supervise assembly team members, providing clear direction, training, and support. Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Production Management: Ensure products are assembled according to technical drawings, quality standards and safety procedures. Plan and monitor daily production schedules to meet targets, ensuring timely completion and high-quality standards in the assembly process.
  • Quality Assurance: Assist in implement quality control measures, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and ensure that products meet or exceed customer specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, collaborate with other team members to support production goals, monitor productivity, suggest process improvements, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, participate in lean manufacturing initiatives, and implement best practices to improve efficiency.
  • Inventory and Equipment Management: Monitor inventory levels, manage tools and equipment, and coordinate with other company resources to ensure the assembly area is well-maintained and ready for production.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce all safety regulations. Ensure clean, safe, organized workspaces in multiple areas. Conduct safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production output, inventory, and employee performance.
Qualifications/Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, with
prior experience in a Supervisory or Lead role.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications or vocational training in
manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is a plus.

Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Proficient in reading assembly blueprints and technical documents
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and lean manufacturing principles
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments
  • Computer literacy with relevant software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office
  • Suite)
  • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

Job Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Work performed in factory settings.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment such as noise, dust and the outdoors.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, negotiate a flight of stairs and move
  • about facilities.
  • Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
