Job Purpose: To lead daily cafe beverage operations by supervising barista staff, ensuring consistent drink quality, maintaining cleanliness and inventory control, and delivering exceptional guest experiences aligned with Corti Cafe’s hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities:Operational Duties:

  • Prepare and serve all espresso-based beverages, teas, and other drinks as per standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Supervise daily operations of the bar station and ensure smooth workflow during service hours.
  • Maintain equipment (espresso machines, grinders, blenders, etc.) in excellent working condition.
  • Monitor stock levels of coffee, milk, syrups, and supplies, ensuring timely requisition and refills.
  • Ensure adherence to café hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.

Team Leadership:

  • Train, guide, and motivate junior baristas to maintain beverage quality and service efficiency.
  • Assign daily duties, monitor staff performance, and provide on-the-job coaching.
  • Conduct quality checks and ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation.
  • Lead by example in punctuality, grooming, and guest interaction standards.

Customer Service:

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure personalized beverage service.
  • Handle guest complaints or feedback professionally and report major issues to the Café Manager.
  • Promote cafe products and seasonal specials to enhance sales.

Administrative & Reporting:

  • Maintain daily bar checklist, wastage log, and cleaning schedule.
  • Prepare brief shift reports for Cafe Manager regarding stock, performance, or issues.
  • Support management in menu updates, product testing, and training new team members.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Intermediate or Bachelor’s Degree (Hospitality background preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience as a Senior Barista or equivalent role in a café or hotel setup.
  • In-depth knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and café operations.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and guest-handling skills.
