Trainee Barista

Purpose:

To learn and assist in preparing and serving coffee, espresso-based beverages, and other drinks while maintaining cleanliness, following cafe standards, and delivering courteous service to guests. The trainee will undergo on-the-job training to develop skills and knowledge required to become a professional Barista.

Key Responsibilities:

Training & Learning:

• Learn standard beverage recipes, coffee brewing methods, and serving techniques.
• Observe and assist Lead Barista in daily operations.
• Attend all training sessions on coffee knowledge, customer service, and hygiene practices.

Operational Support:

• Assist in preparing espresso, cappuccino, latte, tea, and other café beverages.
• Support in setting up and cleaning the bar area before and after shifts.
• Ensure all utensils, cups, and machines are properly cleaned and stored.
• Help maintain stock of coffee, milk, and ingredients under supervision.
• Follow all hygiene and safety guidelines during preparation and service.

Customer Service:

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and take beverage orders when required.
• Learn proper communication and service etiquette under supervision.
• Support team members in ensuring a positive guest experience.

Teamwork:

• Cooperate with other baristas, kitchen, and service staff to ensure smooth café operations.
• Accept feedback positively and continuously improve performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum Intermediate education (Hospitality or Food Service background preferred).
• Min 6 Month experience required further training will be provided.
• Passion for coffee and willingness to learn cafe operations.
• Good communication skills and presentable personality.
