Lead Bartender

Duties

• Lead and mentor the bartending team to deliver top-tier service while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
• Prepare and serve a wide variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
• Oversee cash handling procedures, including cashiering and balancing registers at shift end
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures during serving and preparation
• Assist with training new staff on POS systems, customer service protocols, and responsible alcohol service
• Maintain a lively atmosphere by engaging with guests, promoting specials, and upselling menu items to increase sales
• Monitor the bar area for cleanliness, safety hazards, and adherence to health standards

Skills

• Extensive experience in fine dining environments with strong knowledge of beverage preparation techniques
• Proficiency in POS systems for order processing and cash handling
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during peak hours
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle challenging situations gracefully
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices within the food industry
• Experience in catering or banquet settings is highly desirable for managing large groups smoothly
• Basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales, tips, cash handling, and inventory management
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure
