Lead Bartender

Position Overview Are you an experienced bartender who can deliver a perfect pour while managing a smooth, high-energy bar environment? We are seeking a Lead Bartender who thrives in a fast-paced setting, has a passion for craft beer, and excels at leading a team while ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional experience.

The Lead Bartender is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the bar and taproom. In addition to preparing and serving beverages, this role ensures smooth bar operations, manages bar staff during shifts, maintains inventory, and upholds the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest experience. The Lead Bartender serves as the point of contact for bartenders and servers during shifts, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise bartenders and servers during shifts, providing direction and support to maintain efficient service and a positive work environment.
  • Consistently offer professional, engaging, and friendly service to all guests.
  • Ensure staff are on time, in proper uniform, and maintain a clean, well-groomed appearance.
  • Take and serve beverage orders from guests at the bar or tables (in compliance with current service regulations).
  • Host the guest experience by engaging with customers, answering product questions, and making recommendations.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels, including changing out kegs, restocking supplies, and notifying management of needs.
  • Perform and oversee all opening and closing side work for the bar, taproom, and beer garden.
  • Accurately record orders in the POS system and ensure proper handling of guest payments and credit card transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar, taproom, and guest areas, including restrooms as needed.
  • Train and mentor new bartenders and servers on service standards, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
  • Act as the on-duty point person to handle guest concerns, resolve service issues, and escalate matters to management when appropriate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
