Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend drinks or menu items to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Oversee the bar during shifts, ensuring efficient service flow while managing time effectively in a busy setting like nightclubs or banquet events.
- Assist in training new team members on drink recipes, customer service protocols, and POS operations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, perform basic math calculations for billing, and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Support catering events or large banquets by preparing drinks efficiently and maintaining high service standards.
- Uphold food safety guidelines related to food handling and beverage preparation to ensure guest safety at all times.
- Contribute to a vibrant atmosphere by brewing specialty drinks or participating in club nights when applicable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender or in food service within the hospitality industry; fine dining or nightclub experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; familiarity with cashiering and retail math is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Demonstrated ability in time management to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like banquets or catering functions.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing calculations, and retail math proficiency.
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in compliance with local laws; knowledge of brewing processes is a plus.
- Strong communication skills coupled with a positive attitude that fosters teamwork in fast-paced environments such as nightclubs or restaurants.
