Lead Business Analyst – Data BA

We are seeking a Lead Business Analyst – Data BA with 10-14 years of experience to act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business and development teams, driving data-focused projects and ensuring alignment of requirements, solutions and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between development and business partners on SDLC projects
• Work directly with client and business stakeholders for requirements elicitation, proposing feasible functional solutions, supporting acceptance testing, obtaining client buy-in and handling conflicts
• Collaborate with development stakeholders for requirements feasibility, elaboration, ambiguity resolution, clarifications, test scenario and result review and conflict handling
• Document requirements of software systems and manage requirements with end-to-end traceability using tools such as Jira, Rally ALM, TFS or ServiceNow
• Utilize Agile frameworks such as SCRUM, Kanban, Scrum Ban or SAFe for SDLC delivery
• Write source to target mapping documents and perform gap analysis of databases, documenting differences in business logic
• Analyze data migration projects and write SQL to gather and analyze data
• Run workshops with business users and summarize action items
• Drive Agile process and ceremonies, writing stories based on Sprint/PI goals
• Facilitate requirement gathering for data movement and needs
• Diagram complex processes for clearer discussions
• Guide teams to meet prescribed goals

Requirements

• 10-14 years of experience in business analysis, requirement gathering, BRD, FRD, stakeholder management and data analysis
• Knowledge of SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT and data migration
• Experience with SDLC projects and Agile frameworks such as SCRUM, Kanban or SAFe
• Skills in writing complex SQL queries and understanding table structures
• Familiarity with project/change management tools such as Jira, Rally ALM, TFS or ServiceNow
• Understanding of data migrations, data management and data as a product
• Capability to gather requirements for cloud environments
• Proficiency in running workshops and summarizing action items
• Background in facilitating requirement gathering for data movement
• Competency in diagramming complex processes for discussion
• Ability to work independently and ask for direction when needed

Nice to have

• Experience working through technical stacks of the project, at least two among DB & backend services, ETL processes, API & Web Services, Batch Jobs, Notifications and Subscriptions, Message Queues
• Background in leading domains such as Manufacturing, BFSI, Insurance, Payments, Healthcare, Life Sciences, ECOMM, Supply Chain
• Experience in software development and/or testing
• Some experience in Scrum Master or Project Manager activities
• On-site client location experience
