Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Reporting - SSRS, Power BI Engineer
In this role, you will lead the design, development, and architecture of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI. You will be responsible for delivering scalable, high‑performance reporting solutions, ensuring reliability through Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and CI/CD automation, and supporting secure, well‑governed analytics platforms backed by SQL and Azure data sources.
Exposure to DevOps for BI, report automation, and AI-assisted analytics (such as Microsoft Copilot for Power BI) is a plus.

Responsibilities
 Reporting Solution Design & Development
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade SSRS paginated reports and Power BI dashboards.
Translate business requirements into optimized reporting and analytics solutions.
 Advanced Analytics & Visualization
Build and maintain Power BI datasets and dashboards.
Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
Automate data refreshes and enable scheduled or near real‑time reporting.
 Data Modeling & Performance Optimization
Design and optimize semantic models and reporting data models.
Tune SQL queries and reports for performance, scalability, and reliability.
 Integration & Data Sources
Integrate reports with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Dataverse, and other enterprise data sources.
Implement row‑level security (RLS) and data access governance.
 CI/CD & Deployment Automation
Design, implement, and monitor CI/CD pipelines for SSRS and Power BI assets using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity.
Support version control and structured deployment across environments.
 Monitoring & Reliability
Monitor report execution, data refreshes, and failures.
Implement alerting and usage monitoring to ensure report availability and SLAs.
 Support & Maintenance
Perform root cause analysis for production reporting issues.
Investigate data discrepancies, failures, and performance bottlenecks.
 Process & Standards Definition
Define and maintain reporting ALM processes, development standards, and best practices.
Establish governance for report lifecycle management and documentation.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
 Relevant years of experience in BI or reporting engineering, with strong focus on SSRS and Power BI.
 Proven expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, and DAX.
 Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and data modeling.
 Hands‑on experience with DevOps pipelines for BI/reporting deployments.
 Experience implementing data security and access controls.
 Bonus Skills: Experience with Azure analytics services (Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Factory).
 Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or PowerShell).
 Exposure to AI‑driven analytics or Copilot‑enabled reporting.
 Background in C#/.NET or SSRS customization.
