Job Title: Lead Cost EngineerJob Summary:

The Lead Cost Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all cost engineering activities, including cost estimation, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting for projects. The role requires ensuring accurate cost control, financial analysis, and adherence to company standards and client requirements. The Lead Cost Engineer will work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage cost engineering activities for assigned projects.
  • Prepare, review, and validate detailed cost estimates for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide cost analysis, variance analysis, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with cost control procedures and company standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams for cost-related inputs and updates.
  • Track and control project expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Prepare and present cost reports, including earned value management (EVM).
  • Identify cost trends, risks, and opportunities, recommending corrective actions as required.
  • Mentor and guide junior cost engineers in developing cost management skills.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders on cost-related matters.
  • Support contract negotiations and change order evaluations from a cost perspective.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, or project controls (EPC, oil & gas, infrastructure, or construction industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of cost control methodologies, cost estimation techniques, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in cost management software/tools (e.g., Primavera, SAP, MS Excel, CostOS).
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and project reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
