Lead Data Business Analyst

We seek a Data Business Analyst with advanced skills in SQL, Data Warehousing concepts, ETL processes, Data Modeling, and Data Mapping.

This role involves working directly with business stakeholders, data engineers, and product teams to convert business requirements into practical data solutions. Experience with cloud data platforms is considered beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to collect and define data requirements
• Convert business needs into functional specifications, data models, and process flows
• Conduct in-depth data analysis using advanced SQL queries
• Coordinate with ETL and data engineering teams to verify data pipelines and transformations
• Support Data Warehousing projects, including conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling
• Create and update data mapping documents and source-to-target (S2T) specifications
• Validate, profile, and check data quality to maintain accuracy
• Define KPIs, build dashboards, and support reporting requirements
• Present findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Utilize cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for data ingestion, storage, and processing (nice to have)

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience
• Strong SQL skills for writing complex queries
• Solid understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
• Background in ETL processes and data transformation logic
• Knowledge of Data Modeling (dimensional and relational)
• Skills in Data Mapping and documenting S2T specifications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Glue, Athena, S3
• Understanding of Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks
• Background in GCP BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub
• Proficiency in BI and reporting tools including Tableau, Power BI, Looker
• Basic understanding of data governance and metadata management
• B2 level or higher is mandatory
