JOB TITLE: Lead Data Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

A Lead Data Engineer at Argano is key player in shaping the data engineering strategy and implementing the most complex and leading data solutions. They inform the build-out of information systems to collect, manage, and convert raw data into actionable intelligence for risk analysts and technology stakeholders. They focus on large size complex projects building data processing frameworks that handle the business's growing database. This position designs relational databases to provide a coherent, extensible informational infrastructure supporting a range of interrelated workflows and analysis/reporting requirements. They are responsible for understanding the client requirement and architect robust data platform on multiple cloud technologies, creating reusable and scalable data pipelines and the development and deployment of new data platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implement large size, complex data engineering projects.
• Define and execute the data engineering strategy for the organization.
• Collaborate with leadership to align data initiatives with business goals.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and methodologies.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of data solutions.
• Lead the design and development of scalable and robust data architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data strategy and requirements.
• Optimize and tune data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
• Recommend and deploy data models and solutions for existing data systems.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION :

• A bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field is expected.
• Master's degree or PhD in computer science or software engineering preferred.

EXPERIENCE :

• 5-10 years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• The candidate should have experience in report design and development.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
• In-depth knowledge of big data technologies and distributed computing.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud-based data solutions.
• Provide strategic direction for data engineering initiatives.
