BDIPlus is currently seeking a Lead Data Scientist for our office located in Bangalore.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist who can define, develop, and scale ML/AI-based modules and features for our product chatCDP.ai using a data-driven approach. chatCDP.ai simplifies the overly complicated process of extracting data, visualizing it, and generating predictions and prescriptions using natural language.

A strong candidate should have a proven track record of building products from 0 to 1 - either as a solopreneur or by leading teams of highly skilled and motivated individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth data analysis, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing to uncover trends and patterns.
• Develop, validate, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Communicate findings and insights through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, business) to implement data-driven solutions.
• Monitor model performance and continuously improve analytical frameworks.Required Skills & Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in a quantitative field, with 7+ years of experience in a highly quantitative role, navigating ambiguous environments—ideally as an early data scientist at a hyper-growth company or research organization.
• Demonstrated experience in deep learning and transformer models.
• Prior experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
• Experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing new product features from scratch.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to challenges.
• Ability to move quickly in environments where priorities may shift and definitions may be loose.
• Ownership mindset—comfortable picking up new knowledge as needed to get the job done.
• Pragmatic approach, comfortable shipping iteratively while building toward a long-term vision.

What Success Looks Like:

• Delivering production-ready ML/AI models that enhance the capabilities of chatCDP.ai, especially around natural language data extraction, visualization, and prediction/prescription.
• Translating complex data into actionable insights and clear recommendations that directly impact business outcomes.
• Building and scaling new product features from 0 → 1, demonstrating both technical innovation and execution speed.
• Establishing a robust data pipeline and framework for structured and unstructured data, ensuring quality and reliability.
• Collaborating seamlessly with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver end-to-end, data-driven solutions that customers actually use.
• Continuously monitoring and improving model performance, ensuring outputs remain accurate, relevant, and impactful as data evolves.
• Acting as a thought leader in ML/AI within the company, mentoring team members and setting best practices.
• Demonstrating an ownership mindset—taking initiative, adapting to ambiguity, and driving work to completion without waiting for perfect instructions.
• Playing a key role in accelerating chatCDP.ai’s growth and adoption, making the product smarter, faster, and more intuitive for users.
