About the Role

NorthBay Solutions is seeking a Lead Data Scientist with deep expertise in GenAI, AI/ML, and enterprise architecture. This senior role will lead AI initiatives, mentor technical teams, and deliver complex AI solutions across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of AI-powered enterprise solutions.
• Drive technical decisions across infrastructure, databases, APIs, microservices, and AI components.
• Lead Agentic AI, multi-agent systems, and RAG workflow implementations.
• Deploy LLMs and GenAI applications in production environments.
• Provide guidance on prompt engineering, Chain-of-Thought, and advanced AI/ML techniques.
• Integrate AI/ML models with enterprise systems for high performance and scalability.
• Mentor and manage technical teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and best practices.
• Lead AI/ML projects from conceptualization to delivery, including cloud and hybrid deployments.

Technical Requirements

• GenAI Expertise: 3+ years hands-on experience with LLM fine-tuning and production deployment.
• AI/ML & Enterprise Architecture: 5+ years in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, full-stack development, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL databases, APIs, and microservices.
• Cloud & Deployment: Strong experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, API Gateway.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Experience managing pipelines for ML/AI production systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cloud certifications (Solutions Architect + ML Specialty preferred).
• Agile/Scrum leadership experience.
• Excellent communication skills bridging business and technical stakeholders.
