Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Dentist to join our dental team. As the Lead Dentist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care, leading clinical operations, and mentoring team members to uphold the highest standards of dentistry. Your expertise will ensure a welcoming environment where patients feel confident and cared for, while also fostering a collaborative team atmosphere focused on continuous improvement and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive dental care to patients, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication procedures.
  • Lead clinical operations by coordinating patient schedules, managing treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to infection control techniques.
  • Perform dental procedures such as dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants, and other complex treatments with precision and care.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments using medical and dental terminology to develop personalized treatment plans that meet individual needs.
  • Supervise and mentor dental staff in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, medical documentation, and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensure all clinical activities comply with infection control protocols, medical imaging standards, and anatomy knowledge requirements.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental technology and best practices related to Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and other practice management systems.

Requirements

  • Valid license to practice dentistry in the relevant jurisdiction with current credentials.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry with a strong background in oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication.
  • Proficiency with dental office software such as Dentrix.
  • Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental implants and other complex procedures confidently.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with excellent patient care skills.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills for patient assessment discussions and team collaboration.
