Lead Design Engineers (Civil & Structural)

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project.

Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station.

Role Summary:


  • Lead the design, development, and integration of civil and structural systems for oil & gas projects, including foundations for rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines), pipe racks, steel structures, and industrial buildings.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and codes (ACI, AISC, BS, Eurocodes, API, ADNOC standards where applicable) for civil and structural design.

  • Develop and review civil & structural design deliverables, including GA drawings, foundation drawings, structural analysis reports, load calculations, rebar detailing, and steel connection details.

  • Oversee preparation and review of technical specifications, material requisitions, BOQs, and construction methodologies.

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, process) to ensure seamless integration of civil and structural works.

  • Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, including site technical clarifications.

  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and designers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and adherence to project standards.

  • Conduct detailed technical evaluations of vendor drawings, equipment loads, and foundation requirements.

  • Manage the civil & structural design process to ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule.

  • Review and approve civil and structural drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with client specifications.

  • Participate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, HAZOP studies, and safety design reviews.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

  • 19+ years of experience in Oil & Gas projects, with a focus on rotating equipment.

  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

  • Previous experience in EPC projects is mandatory.

  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) – spoken and written.

  • Excellent English communication skills – spoken and written
