Position Summary

Site Impact is seeking a highly skilled, innovative, and hands-on Lead Engineer to serve as the lead software engineer within our Product Strategy Group. This role serves as the technical leader of the Product Strategy Group and is responsible for balancing hands-on engineering with product innovation and team leadership. The Lead Engineer will contribute directly to software development while also mentoring engineers, guiding technical decisions, collaborating on product strategy, and helping shape the future direction of Site Impact's products and platforms. This individual will work closely with Product Leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to transform ideas into impactful solutions that drive business growth.

Essential Responsibilities

Software Engineering & Product Development

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications, services, APIs, and internal platforms.

• Serve as the primary engineer responsible for building and delivering strategic product initiatives.
• Write high-quality, scalable, maintainable code across multiple technologies and platforms.
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to rapidly validate product ideas and business opportunities.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions while remaining actively involved in implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across applications and systems.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.

• Continuously improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Product Strategy & Innovation

• Partner closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Participate in product discovery, roadmap planning, and strategic discussions.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, and platforms that can create competitive advantages for the business.
• Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve user experiences, and create operational efficiencies.

• Contribute technical insight and recommendations that influence product direction and investment decisions.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical leadership within the Product Strategy Group.

• Promote engineering best practices, development standards, and quality expectations.
• Mentor and support other engineers as the team grows.

• Lead by example through hands-on development, problem-solving, and execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Communicate technical concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Serve as a trusted technical resource and partner across the organization.

• Help bridge the gap between business strategy and software development execution.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy production software applications.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and drive projects from concept to completion.
