Core Job Functions
Learning Environment and Classroom Management
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive atmosphere in the enrichment setting, employing effective behavior management strategies while developing strong connections with students, fostering an environment where curiosity and joy thrive.
Instructional Practices
- Consistently apply best practices aligned with the Impact instructional model, tailoring teaching methods to the unique nature of enrichment subjects. Infuse creativity and innovation into lessons, engaging students in meaningful exploration and discovery.
Planning and Preparation
- Implement engaging lesson plans provided by IPS’ Academics team, adapting them to the dynamic nature of movement, art, and recess activities while anticipating student responses, proactively addressing potential challenges, and plan targeted questions to facilitate comprehensive and effective instruction.
Modeling Core Values
- Exemplify and consistently model Impact core values in every interaction while adhering to campus norms that align with the organization's values, creating an inclusive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging.
Commitment to Equity
- Demonstrate a dedicated commitment to disrupting inequity within the enrichment
setting and contribute to the broader school community each day and foster an inclusive environment that honors and celebrates diversity among students participating in movement, science, and recess activities.

Required Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in education or related field or actively working towards completing a bachelor's degree (within 2-years of employment required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working to close the opportunity gap
- Passion for equity and gap closing teaching experience with proven record of student growth
License/Certification
- Must have or be eligible for certification by OSPI with an endorsement in Elementary Education (within 1-month of employment required)
- Must have or be eligible to obtain a food handler certification
Non negotiables
- Must be able to obtain then provide an academic transcript if hired
- Must pass a fingerprint and background check
- Complete SafeSchools trainings
