Lead Esthetician

The Role

We’re building a best-in-class facial and skin health studio inside a new premium wellness concept in Cherry Hill. This is a founding leadership role for an expert who can build the facial program from scratch, set the standards, hire and develop a team, and still treat clients regularly as a top-tier clinician.

You’re not “managing from a desk.” You’re the bar-setter, educator, operator, and culture carrier.

What You’ll Own

1) Build the concept + standards

• Design a high-end facial menu: signature + corrective facials, advanced treatments, add-ons, packages/series, memberships.
• Build a consistent “custom facial” consult flow: intake, skin analysis, treatment planning, documentation, post-care, rebooking.
• Create protocols + SOPs: treatment steps, sanitation, room reset, contraindications, service recovery.

2) Player-Coach clinical leadership

• Maintain a weekly client book (you treat).
• Coach estheticians via observation, hands-on training, calibrations, and case reviews.
• Ensure consistently excellent outcomes and a hospitality-forward bedside manner.

3) Hiring + team building

• Recruit and hire high-performing estheticians + support staff.
• Build schedules, productivity standards, and career ladders.
• Create a culture of accountability, learning, and pride in craft.

4) Hospitality + experience

• Own the guest journey: greeting, timing, comfort rituals, communication, follow-ups.
• Drive reviews/NPS and resolve service issues with excellence.

5) Business performance

• Own KPIs: utilization, rebook %, average ticket, add-on attach rate, retail conversion, retention, reviews.
• Manage inventory/backbar, ordering, vendor relationships, and cost targets.
• Partner with marketing on launches, events, content, and referral relationships.

Who You Are

• 10+ years hands-on facial/skin experience in premium environments (luxury day spa and/or med spa).
• A true builder: organized, systems-minded, high standards, entrepreneurial energy.
• Experienced leader/educator (or clearly ready to step into it).
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort with advanced services (peels, dermaplaning, LED, microcurrent, etc. within scope).
• Calm, confident, polished communicator—clients trust you; teams follow you.

Requirements

• Active NJ esthetics license (and any additional certs relevant to your scope).
• Startup mindset: comfortable creating structure, iterating, and owning outcomes.
• Availability for some peak demand hours (evenings/weekends) as needed.

Compensation

Highly competitive and structured to reward both leadership and performance:

• Base salary + performance bonus + service/retail upside
• Potential for longer-term growth incentives for the right founding leader

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
