The Vibe

We are a growing esthetician studio, Skin Studio 211, in the heart of Kalamazoo. We’ll be honest: we are a small business still finding our rhythm, and we are looking for a founding member type of leader. This isn’t a corporate, cookie-cutter job. We need someone who can learn on the fly, roll with the punches, and act as the face of the studio while the owner manages the big picture from Lansing.

The Role: A Dual Threat

You’ll wear two hats. Half the time, you’re the Star Esthetician; the other half, you’re the Studio Tech-Savant & Manager keeping the wheels turning.

1. Management & Growth ($17/hr for admin hours + Bonuses)

• Independent Initiative: You’ll be the captain on-site. We need a quick study who can troubleshoot a booking software glitch or a supply chain issue before calling us.
• Digital Brand Ambassador: You’ll ensure the studio is Instagram-ready and help manage our digital presence. You should be comfortable navigating booking platforms, social media tools, and basic studio tech with ease.
• The Ultimate Cheerleader: You aren’t just managing a schedule; you’re building relationships. You’ll be the extroverted energy that makes clients and staff feel like family.

2. Esthetician (Commission/Service Rate + Tips)

• High-Tech Skin Care: Perform high-quality treatments and consultations, staying ahead of the curve on the latest industry tech and product innovations.
• Trend Spotter: We want your expertise! You should be a fast learner when it comes to new tools, modalities, and skincare trends, bringing fresh ideas to the menu.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Esthetician: You know your stuff and love skin.
• Digital Savvy: You are tech-fluent. Whether it’s mastering a new POS system or filming a quick Reel for the studio, you aren't intimidated by new apps or software.
• The Fastest Learner in the Room: You pick up new protocols, systems, and workflows quickly. You prefer a figure it out environment over a hand-holding one.
• Extroverted Energy: You genuinely love talking to people and networking in the Kalamazoo community.
• The Owner Mindset: Since the owner is in Lansing, we need someone who treats the studio like their own. You take initiative, you’re reliable, and you don’t need micro-managing.
