Lead Field Welder/Boiler Repair

Field Lead Welder – ASME Boiler & Pipe Repair | Company Truck Provided

We are seeking an experienced Field Lead Welder to support industrial boiler repair and pressure piping projects in the field. This position is responsible for leading field crews while performing high-quality ASME code welding in demanding industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have strong pipe welding experience, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety, quality, and production standards.

This is a field-based role with travel to various job sites using a company-provided truck.

Responsibilities

• Lead boiler repair and pressure piping projects in accordance with ASME code requirements
• Perform pipe welding using TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and Stick (SMAW) processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, weld procedures, and technical specifications
• Set up and operate welding equipment according to approved WPS standards
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and ASME compliance
• Supervise and coordinate field welders and support personnel on active job sites
• Communicate daily project progress with supervisors and project management
• Maintain safe work practices and enforce all site safety requirements
• Travel to customer and project locations using company-provided vehicle

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of ASME pipe welding experience required
• Previous lead, foreman, or crew supervision experience preferred
• Strong TIG, MIG, and Stick welding experience on pipe systems
• Knowledge of ASME codes, boiler repair, and pressure piping standards
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for field assignments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $37.00 per hour
