Lead HVAC & Electrical Service Technician

Job Overview

Fahrenheit AC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead HVAC & Electrical Technician to support our growing service operations. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining residential and light commercial HVAC and electrical systems, while also providing leadership and technical support to other technicians.

This position requires strong hands-on experience in HVAC service and electrical troubleshooting, with the ability to identify issues quickly, perform high-quality repairs, and ensure systems operate safely and efficiently. You will play a key role in maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

Duties

• Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform electrical troubleshooting, wiring repairs, and electrical component replacements related to HVAC and general electrical systems
• Lead and mentor other technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting, diagnostics, and best practices
• Install and service components such as capacitors, contactors, relays, motors, thermostats, breakers, and disconnects
• Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings
• Perform system diagnostics including electrical testing using tools such as multimeters and ohmmeters
• Ensure all work meets local building codes, safety standards, and company quality expectations
• Maintain accurate documentation of service calls, repairs, and installations
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly with customers and the office team
• Support installation and service projects as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on HVAC service experience
• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and related electrical systems
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and lead technical work in the field
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification
• Florida HVAC license or electrical experience in residential/light commercial environments
• Experience with heat pumps, split systems, package units, mini splits, and air handlers
• Experience with electrical panel work, breakers, disconnects, and low/high voltage troubleshooting

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
