Lead HVAC Service Tech

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Commercial HVAC Technician to oversee field service operations, lead installation and service teams, and ensure high-quality workmanship across commercial HVAC projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial systems including RTUs, split systems, VRF, chillers, refrigeration equipment, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise commercial HVAC service and installation projects

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems

Oversee startup, commissioning, and performance testing of equipment

Train and mentor junior technicians and apprentices

Ensure all work meets local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company standards

Communicate directly with customers, property managers, and general contractors

Review blueprints, specifications, and project scopes

Maintain accurate service documentation and job reporting

Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower with dispatch/operations

Enforce safety procedures and OSHA compliance on job sites

Participate in on-call rotation as required
